Connecting W/ Fabulous Women

Highlights for me were the happy-hour gathering with local biz owners, the garden-dome ceremony, walking, shopping, talking together, and eating breakfast on the balcony. I love the impromptu moments of connecting with like-minded, fabulous women.

Itinerary

Small biz owners have a lot to think about. This is your time to take a break, to pause, reflect and grow your vision. Let us guide you this week for a holistic and inspiring experience.

Monday, March 7
You’ll be met by your shuttle driver at the Queretaro or Leon Airport and taken to our private beautiful retreat house at Calle Santo Domingo 32, San Miguel de Allende.Come in, get settled, and relax.
6:30: Welcome dinner at the retreat house.
Monday, March 8
9:00-10:30: Breakfast at the retreat house + opening circle
10:30- 1:30: Walk through historic Centro, explore the winding cobble stone streets and enjoy lunch at a favorite cafe.
3:00-5:00: Business intentions workshop led by Desha and Christine
Evening: Look at your travel guide for a full list of recommendations for dinner and enjoy some free time exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site at your own pace.
Tuesday, March 9
9:00-9:30: Breakfast at the retreat house
10:00-12:00 Home tours: get a peek into two distinct homes in Centro and observe the unique design aesthetic of this UNESCO Heritage Site town.
1:00-4:00: Lunch on your own + free time
4:00-6:00: Macrame/weaving workshop with local artist Regina Wong from Atelier Community
Wednesday, March 10
9:00-9:30: Breakfast at the retreat house
10:30- 2:30pm: Self care day- choice of in-home massage / or visit Los Senderos, a lovely natural oasis with thermal springs, lounge chairs, umbrellas and small bites.
4:00-6:00: Walk through the heart of town, explore our fav shops, the iconic Mixta and more.
Thursday, March 11
9:00-9:30: Breakfast at the house
10:00-12:00: Explore Guadalupe, a neighborhood full of art murals and wonderful little coffee shops. Take a piece of San Miguel home by experiencing the magic of the Mercado for shopping
4:00-6:00: She DESIGNS Women & Business Happy Hour at the house with tapas
Friday, March 12
9:00: Breakfast at the house
Today is a free day for you to unwind and/or continue to explore this marvelous town. Perhaps you’d like to work on your business in a little café, get a massage, hit up some of the shops you saw while wandering around or take an early morning hike at the Botanical Gardens.
5:30pm: Gather to enjoy a farewell dinner at one of our favorite rooftop dining spots.
8:00pm: Closing circle this evening (go home with inspired action plan)
Saturday, March 13
8:30-10:30am: Breakfast included. Transfers arranged for your return trip to the airport.

The retreat house. It’s an important container for the retreat experience. We chose this as our retreat house because of it’s traditional San Miguel aesthetic, lovely outdoor spaces and prime location.

Magical

My word for the weekend on the SheDESIGNS Retreat was magical. The theme was resilience and the feeling was worth, inspiration and self care. The setting was the perfect place to transform all of us, and to encourage us to do and feel and think in ways we don’t get to during the routine hustle and bustle of every day life. Message for all women: take risks, sign up for things, surround yourself with like-minded women, and never stop learning!

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN…

Many years ago, we met in person in San Miguel de Allende.

Over the years we collaborated on all kinds of creative projects and from that friendship the SheDESIGNS podcast was born.

We thought SMA would be the perfect location for our first week-long SheDESIGNS retreat.

She will be teaching us how to create a plant based textile weaving that you can take home to remember your time in San Miguel.
